Daily life is thrilling. Okay, perhaps not, but I have mine down to a science. And perhaps because I live in China, and for no other reason, you'd be interested in what I do daily.

7:50-- cell phone alarm goes off and I turn it off and shuffle to class
8:20 to 12:00--Chinese language class (read: grammar, vocab, repeat daily for 30 weeks)
12:30--mount bicycle and head to work
1:00 to 5:00--I'm a salesman at an outdoor clothes store. Sometimes we have customers.
6:00--dinner in campus cafeteria. I eat noodles, generally alone
7:00 to 12:00--a combination of homework and watching Desperate Housewives with my roommate
12:30am-- sleep and repeat.

For Scintilation I mix in the following activities
  • visit friend who works at a tea shop
  • play baseball on the weekend
  • rubber neck at stuff
  • call home
  • peruse inexpensive movies
Pizza Hut delivers in China too. Via electric bike.

dang. those are some sweet bikes mbrown. you should steal one and bring it back. i don't have a license, but stealing is illegal anyway, might as well thrown on me driving a stolen electric bike.

so i realized i never visit your blog, cuz i just read it via my nice email delivery but i decided i'd just leave a hello!

the year is winding down, mbrown. it tis sad. val is running her last large group tonight, and i will be leading worship (woo, first time in many times to come. yeah, i'm worship leader next year. was a really tough decision to accept. but in the end, i think it'll be good. i had a long talk with jillian about it, and sandra agreed to help mentor me--she's still around the chicago area. even though she's technically "left" we see her every once in a while, which is really nice).

i'm going to be leaving for cairo right after cedar (did i tell you i'm going?) i think i forgot!!! aiyo! yeah, i'm going to cairo this summer with 14 other IV NU students, and andy bilhorn is leading the trip. pretty exciting huh? yeah. the team is really young. we had a dessert fundraiser night tonight..er..last night.

anyway, i'm up working on a problem set and preparing for worship tomorrow/tonight (it's 5:36am.)

i'm glad you will be back next quarter. this upcoming week it's reading week. and then finals. and then the end. i'm 50% done with college. creepy how fast it all goes by, huh? you're almost back from what i remember to be that endless year in china. :)

woo!
